As many of you may know, I am a super passionate health and fitness freak and certified personal trainer and fitness instructor. I am also the head blogger here at Your World: Healthy and Natural. So, it only seems natural that I should marry the two together a little bit more.
So, how about some free workouts?
Here's what I'm thinking:
Every Tuesday, we will have Tabata Tuesdays.
What is Tabata?
Only my FAVORITE type of workout in the whole world!!!
What is it really?
It is an interval workout that consists of hard work for 20 seconds and then 10 seconds of rest directly following that. You repeat that pattern for 8 rounds. That is one set. You can choose to do as many or as few sets as you would like. I usually like to do at least 5 sets, but that is just me. I like an intense workout that will get me burning mad calories for hours afterward! I am guessing you might like that too.
That is why we will be having Tabata Tuesday!!
Here are a few more reasons why you'll love Tabata workouts:
TimeWith Tabata, you can gain more results in less time. Since it is such high intensity training, it gets your heart rate and metabolism up in a matter of seconds. Whereas, let's say, long distance running, can take anywhere from 10 minutes on to get your heart rate up.
Basically, you are getting a much more efficient, fat-burning workout.
Lose More FatBecause you are performing these exercises at a very high intensity, your body has to work super hard. This will cause your heart to pump faster and your metabolism to rise; which you want if you are planning on losing fat. Your metabolism will stay at a high not only during the workout, but after the workout as well. This means that your body will be burning fat even when you are sitting on your butt later on.
