What is Stress Doing to Us?

Show of hands for all of you who feel stressed out more days than not? ðŸ™‹ðŸ™‹ðŸ™‹

I've found as a personal trainer, mom, wife, sister, friend, daughter, there are a lot of people in my life -- dare I say almost ALL the people in my life -- who are incredibly stressed, giving giving giving until they are depleted and then giving more.

Does it seem to you that society has almost made it the "it thing" to do to be stressed and busy and running around like chickens with our heads cut off?

I mean - I used to ask people how they were doing and I'd hear "fine" or "good." Now I hear "busy" or "so stressed." And I'm the worst one. I've stressed my body out so badly that I actually now have serious health issues. ðŸ˜³ðŸ˜³ðŸ˜³ Not cool.

Don't be like me. Don't wait until stress causes your cortisol levels to chronically go sky high and creates physiological changes in your body. Did you know that chronic, high cortisol production is tied to symptoms and ailments including weight gain, anxiety, sleep disorders, hormonal imbalances and fertility problems, in addition to many other problems?

It's time to do something about it. I just got this new supplement Cortistop to try out for myself.

What is Cortistop? It's this super cool, unique to YL supplement that will help you control that beast called cortisol.

You need this if you want:
✔️ Adrenal support
✔️ help with feelings of fatigue
✔️ healthy weight support
✔️ cardiovascular system support
✔️ support with other side effects of high cortisol
✔️ support for healthy hormones

Even though we can't make stress disappear, at least we can counteract the effects of it and help restore balance in our lives.

5 Delicious Cinco de Mayo Recipes You Can't Pass Up

Oh are you all in for a treat today! I have master chef Erica Rogers here today sharing 5 Recipes for a tasty Cinco de Mayo using essential oils.

Hola!  I'm Erica, your guest blogger today, and I'm honored and excited to be here!!
As you all know, it's MAY!!  And you know what that means... CINCO DE MAYO!!  I love theme parties (and I really love tacos and essential oils!), and what are theme parties without food?!  So today - all Mexican dishes that I have created are using Young Living oils!  Go ahead and throw together a little fiesta and show your friends what all you can do with oils in the kitchen!!

On the Menu (and YL oils used):
Horchata-- cinnamon bark
Guacamole-- lime, lemon
Fresh Salsa-- lime
Pork Carnitas-- oregano, orange, lime
Mexican Hot Fudge Sundaes-- cinnamon bark

First, Horchata!!-- If you haven't tried it, you should!!  It's super easy to make and you will impress your friends with something other than Coronas.  Speaking of Corona... if you like to party like I do, add a shot of rum to your glass of Horchata!!

Guacamole--  fan favorite in our house!  The best part is, you can tweek it to your liking!!  There's no wrong way to make guacamole.  If a waiter can do it table-side, you can do it, too!!

Salsa--  seriously, y'all, it takes less than 5 minutes to make, but scores high when impressing your friends!  This batch makes quite a bit....I hand out little mason jars of salsa to mi amigas to take home!

Pork Carnitas-- worried about ruining the meat?  I've been there!  Don't run away yet.....you can't mess up this one, I promise!!  Crockpot and then broil- you got this!!

Hot Fudge Sundaes-- I decided to ditch the churros (over used!!) and the flan (who really likes it anyway??), and go with something simple yet delicious!!

A couple other things to try:
•add a drop of lime to your favorite Mexican beer!!
•add a drop of lime in with the water and rice when cooking.  When finished cooking, top with red pepper flakes and queso fresco!!

Cinco de Mayo parties are way fun and easy-- lots of drinks for adults, a little mariachi music, tasty food, and a piñata for the little ones....a fiesta!!
Fun fact:  Did you know Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican Independence Day?  It celebrates the Mexican victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.  Yes, Mexico unexpectedly won that battle, but lost the war, so Cinco de Mayo is more celebrated in the United States than Mexico.

Cheers!
Erica

Mouth watering yet? Holy yum!!!! Go - make these now! And if you have no clue where to get these essential oils, you can find them here.

Essential Oil Carrying Case Giveaway

It is no secret that I love essential oils. If you are curious about why, check out my Essential Oil Q + A: Why and How to Use Them. Make sure don't miss this post or this one either.

I use oils daily in my home with my family. This summer, we are traveling quite a bit, and taking oils along is a MUST! But how to take them without leaking or spilling any of those precious ounces?

Believe it or not, there are carrying cases made especially for taking essential oils with you!! Yay! After all, if you are going to invest in high quality oils then it only makes sense to properly store them. Since they are made of glass, you want to make sure you pack them carefully, and a good carrying case will help you travel easily with your oils, without finding them broken or leaking.

Thanks to Soothing Terra, I now have an awesome carrying case. I have the hard shell case that can hold (30) 5 mL or 10 mL bottles. I love that I can fit all the oils I need to bring in this case. It has a hard shell, so I don't have to worry about bottles being crushed. The only thing that would make this case perfect was if the handle would be on top of the case, so my oils would never be tipped over.

Soothing Terra carries a nice variety of oil accessories, and I love that they offer a 100% money back guarantee on their products. If for any reason you are not happy with their essential oil cases, just let them know and they will make it right.

Find the case that is right for you, and have fun traveling with no more fear for your oils.

Who wants to win one???

4 Essential Oil Must-Haves For Your Home

Let's talk more about essential oils today. If you missed Part 1 - How To Use Essential Oils, make sure to check it out first. Before I tell you about some of my favorite oils and their uses, let me just say that it is important to make sure you are using high quality, therapeutic-grade oils that are in a dark glass container to keep the light from affecting them. Also, as I said in Part 1, use caution when applying oils.

Alrighty, with that said, here are some of my favorites:

Lavender - Lavender is so versatile and so very gentle that it can be used by almost anyone. It is especially great for supporting healing skin irritations or cuts. I really love the smell too. It has a sweet and calming scent, and I love it to put a little on my neck as a natural fragrance. Here are some more uses:
  • rub a drop on your palms, bottoms of feet, or smooth on your pillow to support sleep
  • add a few drops to a dryer ball to make clean clothes smell amazing
  • rub on dry or chapped skin
  • use 2-4 drops as deodorant
  • put a few drops on a wet cloth and throw it into the dryer to scent clothes, deodorize and freshen the laundry
  • apply 2-3 drops to a rash to support healthy skin
  • diffuse in a room or put a drop on a diffuser necklace to support calmness in stressful situations

Lemon - Lemon is so fresh and energizing. I love even just opening my bottle and taking a deep breath of it for a pick me up! The one thing you do have to be careful about with lemon is that you don't want to put it on any skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight within 72 hours. Here are my fave uses:
  • Add 1 drop to your glass of water to give it a nice zing
  • Rub a drop on a cutting board to cleanse bacteria
  • Add 2-3 drops to water and spray counters to disinfect
  • Diffuse it to give you a great mood boost
  • add to a drop of honey to soothe a cough or sore throat
  • apply directly to cold sores for relief
  • remove gum, label stickers, and greasy messes from fabric

Peppermint - Peppermint is well known for soothing digestive problems. It has also been studied for it's ability to improve concentration and trigger your sense of fullness after meals. We like the sound of that, right? Here are more uses:
  • Rub a drop on temples, forehead or back of neck for headache relief (this is my favorite remedy for headaches)
  • Place a drop on the tongue and inhale into the nose and sinuses to relieve congestion from a cold
  • Place a couple drops in a cup of hot water and enjoy in place of coffee
  • Mix in footbath to relieve sore feet
  • Rub on your stomach or feet to calm upset stomach
  • Diffuse during a meal to help you feel full
  • Add to shampoo or conditioner for a stimulating hair and scalp massage

Tea Tree - This is another favorite of mine, which we use a lot in my household. Tea Tree is another good one for skin conditions. Here's more:
  • put a couple drops in your shampoo to help with dandruff
  • put a little on a cut, burn, or insect bites to support healthy skin
  • add 2 drops to a bit of carrier oil and spread on eczema
  • dab a drop on skin blemishes to support healthy skin
  • combine a few drops with a carrier oil and use to support healthy skin for athlete's foot and eczema
  • use combined with salt to scrub your bath or bathroom tiles

These are just four of my favorite essential oils. There are many more out there, and they are a great way to clean, disinfect, and help heal our body naturally, while being safe for our families and the environment! I would love to hear how you use essential oils and which are your favorite. Share, share, share!!

The Swiss Army Knife of Essential Oils

I am a huge fan of using essential oils. They have been used for centuries, not just for their beautiful natural scent, but because they promote wellness so well. I love using them to support my wellness - from occasional neck and head tension to supporting my digestive track - they can even be used around the home as an air freshener or even a hand sanitizer.

Lavendar essential oil is one of my absolute favorites, because it is one of the safest oils and has a lovely light scent. Lavendar oil is one of the first essential oils I ever used, and I have been hooked since. I call it the "Swiss Army Knife of Essential Oils" because I can use this little treasure in so many ways and with everyone in my family - from my 1 year old to my hubby. In fact, I use lavender every day in my homemade facial moisturizer. I also love to use it diluted with coconut oil on my children's feet for calming.

Lavender and Frankincense are two of my favorite skin oils!
First, let me just say that it is important to make sure you are using high quality, therapeutic-grade oils that are in a dark glass container to keep the light from affecting them. Since it is a huge priority to me to only put the highest quality products in and on my body, I get my oils from Young Living.

Did you know almost every oil is a fragrant/cosmetic/perfume grade essential oil, which means they are filled with chemicals/toxins/synthetics/fillers - they can actually do more harm than good. BUT the average consumer doesn't know this and companies can write "pure, 100%, natural" on the bottle if 3-5% of the bottle is pure. This is why I prefer Young Living oils - I can trust them. When I use Young Living, I know I am getting the purest essential oil in that bottle, nothing more. No additives, no synthetics, just pure, essential oil goodness. In fact, they have a Seed to Seal Guarantee that is unmatched by any competitor. That is why they work so well.

Here are two pictures from the Young Living St. Marie farm in ID. You can even go visit YL farms yourself and check out how your oils are made!

Lavender is so versatile and so very gentle that it can be used by almost anyone. Although it is very gentle on most people, make sure you use caution when applying oils. I always dilute them with a carrier oil like coconut oil or sweet almond oil.

Lavender has a sweet and calming scent, and I love to put a little on my neck as a natural fragrance (bonus: it helps me with occasional stress and tension).

Here are some other uses:
  • rub a drop on your palms and smooth on your pillow to support your sleep
  • mix a drop with coconut oil on dry or chapped skin
  • use 2-4 drops as deodorant
  • put a few drops on a wet cloth or wool dryer ball and throw it into the dryer to scent clothes, deodorize and freshen the laundry
  • mix with coconut oil to help soothe occasional skin irritations due to weather or activity
  • add a few drops to Epsom salts to relax and unwind
Lavendar EO is a great place to start if you are new to essential oils. If you are an old pro, this oil is probably one of your favorites. If you are curious about oils or have any questions, comment below and I will do my best to help you! Also check out my Essential Oil Q + A: How and Why to Use Them.

If you have any other great ways you use essential oils, please share them!

Essential Oil Q + A: How and Why To Use Them

While I have had a long standing, loving relationship with essential oils as you can see here, here and especially here, I had been using them without a huge amount of expertise and only as situations arose that I needed them.

Several weeks ago, Audra Bassett, my wonderful friend with a lot more know-how about oils that I have, wondered if I might be interested in learning more about essential oils and using them on a more regular basis. Learn more about something natural and healthy? Of course!

She sent me this fabulous book, The Essential Oil Truth - The Facts Without the Hype by Jen O'Sullivan, which I read in about a day or two and then re-read several times after. From there, I started using oils and oil blends daily with my whole family. I am super excited to share what I have learned with YOU!

I am going to be doing a three-part essential oils series. Today is the first part, answering your questions about how and why to use them.

Let's get started:

Question #1 - Why would I use essential oils?

I could give you about a million reasons. The biggest and best is because we are in a bit of a health crisis in our country. Much of that is due to unhealthy lifestyles, scary ingredients in the majority of products sold, and people being handed out quick fixes that mask the problem. Symptoms are our bodies way of telling us there is something wrong. When we try to get rid of them with a quick chemical fix that has a slew of side effects, instead of dealing with what is really wrong with our bodies, it often just gets worse and worse.

Oils are different. They are natural - from plants. They are safe. They are effective. And they smell sooooo good. As a mom of four with a lot of responsibilities, I feel comfortable using oils to help myself, my hubby and my children stay healthy.

Question #2 - What are essential oils? Are they safe?

An essential oil is a liquid that is generally distilled from the leaves, stems, flowers, bark, roots, or other elements of a plant. Essential oils are the life-force of the plant, much like our blood. They are highly concentrated, and you only need a little to go a long way. They have been used for centuries, not just for their beautiful natural scent, but for their antibacterial healing properties as well. I love using them for anything from headaches to stomachaches, from an air purifier to hand sanitizer.

They are safe when used properly for people and animals. I recommend that you always start out with a very small amount along with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil or olive oil. Apply a bit to your skin and see how your body reacts. Always do your own research and be responsible. I do not personally ingest essential oils, but if you do, MAKE SURE you use only the very best quality and be very informed about that choice.

Basically, essential oils are natural and very very safe, especially when compared to the alternatives - pharmaceuticals, prescription drugs, etc. But again, I cannot stress this enough - make sure you use only the very best quality.

Questions #3 - How do you use essential oils safely?

See my note on how to use them safely in the above question. But to expand on that, let me share with you the ways I use them. Here is a different post I wrote sharing how I use essential oils.

Oils can be used in three different methods: topically, aromatically, and internally.

Topically - This is applying the oil onto our skin. Oils can either be applied undiluted (neat), or with a carrier oil (which slows absorption). Always follow the directions on the label, and when in doubt, dilute. If any burning occurs or you get it in your eyes, never try to was it away with water. Oil and water don’t mix! “Wash” it off by adding more carrier oil.

Aromatherapy - This is inhalation of the oils. You can use a diffuser (pictured below), place your head over a steaming bowl of water with a few drops added, or directly inhale from your hands or the bottle. When doing so, you trigger aromareceptors, triggering chemical responses in the body.

Internally - This is through direct absorption of the digestive tract. Like I said before, I personally choose not to do this one. I may try it once in a great while, but have not decided to do that at the present time. Surely do NOT ingest any oil that does not say that it can be used as a dietary supplement right on the label. Again, do your own research and make informed decisions. Make sure you know where your oils are grown and how they are handled all the way to the bottle.

Question #4 - Which brand is the best? Why?

I have tried out many brands and you have probably seen me talk about them on my blog throughout the past 7 years. There is one company that I have used throughout my entire time using essential oils - Young Living. They were my first love, and after looking very, very closely at the differences between essential oil companies, I am now ready to say they are my only love.

Let me share with you why.

Did you know that you only need 5% pure essential oil in a bottle to claim it is 100% pure? Unfortunately, that is totally true. So while the labels on that grocery store brand may spout they are "100% pure" it is not what you are expecting in that bottle. Typically it's a little essential oil, and up to 95% additives, fillers, and synthetics - things that will lower the price and quality and result in you needing to use more, or worse, having a reaction to the "other 95%" they added to that bottle. You may notice the other labels say "for inhalation or aromatherapy use only". This means you shouldn't even put those brands on your skin. Some other brands will smell good and work wonders for your needs, but personally, I choose the brand that goes beyond smelling good, and has been tested for use beyond aromatherapy.

Just like I choose high-quality, organic nourishing foods for my body, I want to choose high-quality, organic nourishing oils for my body. I like to know as much about things that go on, in or around my body as I possibly can. My tips for you when choosing essential oils are:
  • know where the company grows their crops
  • know what they use to fertilize and treat the crops
  • know their harvest process
  • know their distillation process
  • know EXACTLY what they are putting in that bottle

When I use Young Living, I know I am getting the purest essential oil in that bottle, nothing more. No additives, no synthetics, just pure, essential oil goodness. In fact, they have a Seed to Seal Guarantee that is unmatched by any competitor. That is why they work.

P.S. Did you know you can even go to Young Living's farms and help plant, harvest and distill crops? Yup, you can watch and be a part of the ENTIRE process. I think that just rocks!

Not all brands are created equal, and it is up to individuals to determine what is best for their family based on the research they are aware of. Do your research, no matter which oils you choose, make sure you know exactly what is in that bottle and be confident in using it on yourself and your family.

Let me know if I can answer more of your questions or guide you in your essential oil journey. I am here to help! If you would like to be added to a free, educational resource full of people sharing how they use oils, ask to join the Hello Essentials. It is one of my favorite places to go to get ideas about how others are using their oils and what they love about them. Everyone is so positive and helpful. I just love it! (And no, nobody will be trying to sell you anything!) You can tell them that I (Cara Nitz) sent you over.

Next post, I will be talking about how oils have helped me when I am suffering from stress and headaches. Stay tuned...

Holiday Handmade Gift Ideas and Vanilla Body Scrub Recipe

I received product to review. No other compensation was given. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

When it comes to holiday gifting, it truly is the thought that counts. My most precious gifts are ones that came with a lot of thought and love. What could be more thoughtful than a handmade gift? Not only are they meaningful, but they often cost less money than store-bought gifts. Win, win, right?

Whether you are trying to simplify your holiday gift giving, find a gift for that hard-to-shop-for person, let a teacher know how much she is appreciated, or surprise a coworker, DIY gifts are the perfect way to show how much you care.

I want to share some ideas on ways to make your DIY gifts even more extra-special:

• Package homemade biscotti, cookies, or even body products in vintage tins or jars. A beautiful container is an additional gift that the recipient can keep long after the handmade gift is gone.
• Instead of using traditional wrapping paper or gift bags, wrap boxes in craft paper and decorate with pens and markers. Wrap jars and bottles in fabric, burlap, or a pretty kitchen towel and secure it with colorful striped baker’s twine.
• Attach a Christmas ornament to the outside of the package in lieu of a traditional gift tag. Ornaments can be treasured for years to come.
• Include a hand-written note or card with the recipe for your gift – it is the gift that keeps on giving!

I also want to share a great recipe for Vanilla Body Scrub from Nielsen-Massey Vanillas, which is the perfect gift for friends, sisters, daughters, or anyone who deserves a bit of pampering this holiday season. Fragrant Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Sugar gently exfoliates while olive oil moisturizes, leaving skin feeling soft, smooth and rejuvenated.

Bath Salts Giveaway

Cara was provided product to review. No other compensation was given. All opinions expressed are 100% her own.

Honestly, is there anything better than relaxing in a tub full of warm water, bath salts and pure essential oils after a long workout or freezing winter day?

I personally will take any excuse I can to get in the bath tub with bath salts! Why am I so obsessed?

First of all, Epsom salts and sea salts are full of minerals that can be absorbed into your body easily through your skin. When I am aching after a hard workout, I can feel a huge difference after soaking in my salts and getting the magnesium my body sorely needs.

Also, I love how the essential oils calm and relax me. My new favorite blend is from Soulillume called the Serenity Blend. It is made of Organic French Grey Salts & Epsom Salt infused with Organic Essential oils of Lavender and Roman Chamomile, Organic Herbs, and Organic Lavender Flower.

Soulillume Manifest Serenity Bath Salts 16 oz Bottle.jpg

What really sets this blend apart from others I have tried are the real flowers and herbs mixed in the other beautiful ingredients. You can choose to pour this blend into a little tea bag that comes with it and let that float around in the bath or you can pour it directly into the water. I choose to pour it in the water and immerse myself in all the flowers and herbs. I love picking up hand fulls of it and taking deep breaths of the lavender flowers. Hmmmmm...perfect.

Manifestation Series Bath Salt Set

They also offer other varieties: Love, Happiness and Prosperity. Each of them are full of the same high quality, health full, relaxing ingredients that you can always expect from Soulillume.

Now, here's the best news! We want to help you stay relaxed this winter, especially through the holidays. We are giving (1) bottle of Serenity Blend Bath Salts to (1) lucky winner! Enter below for your chance. US residents only, please.

What Is Aromatherapy?

I am sure you have heard of Aromatherapy, but do you really know what it is?

Aromatherapy has been around for a looooooong time, and you could also call it, "Essential Oils Therapy", because that is basically what it is.

Here are some other quick facts about it:
  • Aromatherapy helps develop an equilibrium of physical and mental health.
  • Essential oils are highly concentrated essences known for their healing effects.
Essential oils produce an aroma from a flower, leaves, twig, bark, fruit rind and other plant parts. The extraction process can be time-consuming and complex, making pure essential oils quite special. The great things about essential oils is that you only need a drop or two most times to get the desired effect.

Essential oils work by stimulating the olfactory system and the brain or limbic system. (Like the picture above shows) The fragrance, properties, and effects of the oil determine how the body systems and their parts are stimulated. For instance, during a massage, the oils are inhaled and absorbed by the body at the same time, penetrating the skin and eventually reaching the organs and body systems.

I love using aromatherapy in two major ways. The first way is using my diffuser. I drop several drops of a few of my favorite oils in it, and it diffuses them beautifully into the air. In a moment or two, the room is smelling amazing and those oils are starting to work beautifully in my body. The other way I use aromatherapy is by adding a couple drops of coconut oil into the palm of my hands, sprinkling a few drops of my favorite essential oil like lemon, stress away or frankincense, and then bringing my hands up to my nose and taking some deep breaths. Heavenly!

What are your favorite oils to use for aromatherapy?

Healthy Hair-Ojon™ Review

In my search for good health, I have been mainly looking at what goes in my body-food, water, air and exercise. I also know that what I put on or outside of my body gets absorbed into my body. Every spray, lotion, tamer, soap, shampoo, straightener, moisturizer, cleanser and toner somehow will get to my bloodstream. So, like my new found eating habits, I have been finding beauty products that are so much better for me. At the beginning of the year, I did a quick search on "natural hair care".
What popped up for me was Ojon™. I contacted the company, and got some products, used them, and did some research that I thought I would share with all of you.
Ojon is a tree in Central America. For years, the native people have harvested the nuts from the tree, and used the oil to protect their hair and skin. The protective and restorative properties of the nut are proven by the the people, and by scientific studies. But what about me? What would it do for my hair?
I first tried Damage Reverse Treatment. The thick potion had to be scooped out of the jar, and warmed with my hands, then applied to my hair and let sit. I washed it out and conditioned with Ojon Super Sleek, and then let it air dry most of the way. I used a few drops of the Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Serum mainly on the ends of my hair. Then I waited to see what my hair looked like without styling. I liked what I saw! My long, naturally curly hair was not frizzy or dry, but soft and shiny. Good Stuff! Could I have just found my new favorite product? A couple of weeks later, I went to the salon for my long overdue cut and highlight. The stylist said more than a few times how "healthy" and "great" my hair looked, even prior to cutting it. I brought my Ojon™ stash with me, including the oil, shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair, leave in Color Sustain, and Dry Recovery™ Conditioning Volumizing Foam . I have to say, I really liked the way I looked when I walked out.
I was given a bunch of hair products.....GIVEN is a big word here. Would I actually BUY some of these products? I am trying to be a good girl, and really do my homework on product safety, value, and effectiveness. Here's what I found out:

Ojon™ products are made from natural ingredients and 100% natural essential oils. They are made without: parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oil, PABA, petrolatum, paraffin, DEA, synthetic color, or animal ingredients (except for cruelty-free honey and beeswax). I am pretty confident in the safety after reading about the Ojon™ purity. What do I think of the value? My favorite product, the Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Treatment costs $25. Honestly, this is a little more that I would normally spend on a product I haven't tried. However, the value lies in the fact that this product works, and only a very small amount is needed (like 5 drops for my length of hair). Therefore, I would say that the value is good. The other part of the value of this product is the company's commitment to sustainability and protection of the land, as well as the people of Honduras way of life. I can place value on companies that care.
The best place to get more (and there is a lot) of information is on the Ojon™ website. There, you can purchase the products right for your hair, and find more information on the science, the creation process, and the purity of Ojon™ products. You can also call or email their customer service, who I found was quick to respond and helpful.

If you have any questions about my Ojon™ experience, just ask me in a comment box below.

Amazing Aroma Naturals

Does peace have a smell? How about tranquility? If it did indeed have a smell, would you want some?

Whether it is during the holidays or any other time of year, we are such stressed out people! With 3 businesses, two young children, and a whole host of other responsibilities, I am finding myself stressed out more than I want to admit. I was beyond thrilled to find Aroma Naturals, because their products have helped me to relax. The gift of relaxation - now that is a good-for-you gift to share with those you love this holiday season!

With every hand-crafted product, Aroma Naturals strives to deliver a quality that is paramount to their mission: to enhance well-being and encourage a healthy lifestyle through the use of natural plant and flower aromas.

This is a family owned company that is for real. I have been duped before by candle and fragrance companies that pretend to be "natural." Unless they are using 100% plant aromas, I would watch out. Aroma Naturals uses the purest essential oils from around the world and the most natural waxes - such as beeswax and a mix of soy and other veggie waxes. They even have negative ions to get rid of bad smells and other ickies in the air you breath.

I could wrap this whole thing up with 4 words: I LOVE IT ALL! But, I can't stop there. I want to recommend some of my favorites to you. I will try to keep it to my three favorite products.
#1 - Aromatic Mists - Oh, gosh, these are like a lifesaver to me. Remember when I asked if peace has a smell? Their Peace Aromatic Mist has tried to capture it, and I think they did a pretty awesome job! Just shake, point to the center of a room, and spray to get a flood of peace from sweet uplifting Orange, revitalizing Clove and spicy Cinnamon. Inhale and relax! Oh, by the way, did I mention the aromatic mists are only $7.50!! At that price, you need to get one for everyone on your list!
#2 - Travel Candles - These portable, enclosed candles can be taken anywhere, so you can have the benefits of aromatherapy wherever you are! Genius! My favorite variety is Verbena, which is a blend of Litsea Cubeba and Bergamot - refreshing and stress-relieving. Again, these are super affordable at only $6.00 each! Yay!
#3 - Large Bee Soy Candle - Do you love the pure smell of natural beeswax? Then, this one is for you! It is made from a beeswax and Soy VegePure blend. Totally clean, allergy friendly and it burns for 44 hours! Plus, how cute is that? It is affordably priced at $14.00.

Now, you see why I am in love with Aroma Naturals. I am telling you, you have got to run, not walk, to Aroma Naturals and fill your cart! Better yet, you don't have to run. You can just stay seated in your comfy chair, click on this link, and fill up your pretend cart. Check out all the awesome money-saving offers going on right now, like a FREE matching votive with purchase of aromatic mist. Aren't you glad that you stopped by and read this today?
