Draw Plus Science Book Review

My son loves to color, draw, or do any art project. I think he could sit at the table and do projects all day long. He is just one very focused four year old. One of his other passions is science. That is why the book Draw Plus Science is so perfect for him!

Children learn with all their senses. This book is designed to help your child or student enhance science learning and literacy and discover the world around them through art activities in a fun way.

Written by Freddie Levin, who began studying botanical illustration at the Chicago Botanic Gardens, this book offers art activities in a step-by-step drawing instruction technique that even my four year old can master! Personally, I like to do the drawings with him, because I want to learn how to draw too.

This book offers even more than drawing lessons, though. She also includes lots of great information you and your child will find fascinating! With an emphasis on observation and information, these drawing lessons are based on concepts which include Classification, Measuring and Recording, Life Cycles, Seasons, Variety in Nature, Climate, Adaptations, Inherited Traits, and Characteristics of Organisms.

I think this book teaches science concepts in a really fun and unique way! I learned a lot, and I know my children did too! You can find this book at online retailers or at a bookstore near you.
