Take Charge of Eating Tip #10

Day 12 brings us a really important tip that you may want to try!

#12 - Carefully moderate your intake of sugar, salt, and caffeine. It's not about the calories. These substances in excess can make us prone to debilitating conditions. (Be aware: sugar has many other names!) If you have recently quit one of these substances, be gentle and patient with yourself.

During my Whole30 journey, I cut out sugar completely. I think that was partly the reason for my intense headaches the first couple days and the amazing way I felt the rest of the challenge. It was hard, but I felt so good knowing I had cut it out, and that I was truly doing my body good with great food choices minus the sugar. It can be addicting. That is the danger, and therefore, that is the reason for this tip. Counting calories can be crazily time consuming and mind consuming, but watching your intake of sugar, salt and caffeine can pay off for your health!
