It is simply amazing to learn about all the wonderful herbs and plants in nature that provide natural healing for our bodies. I personally didn't know a whole lot about Comfrey, until I was introduced to Laura, from Genuinely Simple.
Genuinely Simple is an artisan crafted company that offers products focused on natural healing. Laura has taken great time and care to only choose real, natural ingredients that each have a healing purpose for your skin.
Their products include a variety of Comfrey Creams and Comfrey Hard Lotion Bars. Comfrey is an herb that produces a natural enzyme in its leaves called allantoin. Allantoin helps speed cellular repair while simultaneously suppressing inflammation. This promotes rapid healing. Its commonly used on muscles, tendons, and ligament injuries. However, it is also well known for quick skin damage repair, rashes (including diaper rash!), bug bites, eczema and sunburn!
The Comfrey Lotion Bars are great to rub directly onto your skin. I have been using them for any dry spots, and I feel perfectly content using them on my children, because there are absolutely NO scary ingredients.
I love that you don't have to wonder for one second if these products are safe. The only ingredients are: Comfrey Root and Leaf, Calendula Flowers, Olive Oil, Shea Butter, and Candelilla Wax, with a lavendar or peppermint essential oil added to those varieties.
I love supporting and sharing companies like Genuinely Simple. Laura is helping educate others about natural healing and sharing her passion and love in her products that we can all benefit from! If you can eat the lotion, you know it is a good one! :-)
DeleteI would love to try the Lavender Comfrey Cream. I love the scent of Lavender and the fact that it can help heal is an added bonus.
ReplyDeleteSo soothing! I agree!
DeleteThat lotion bar looks wonderful! I've been wanting to try making my own creams, lotion bars, body balm, and started getting organic ingredients. So expensive - it is worth buying, unless you want to make a huge amount! This looks like a great company I need to check this out b/c I'm not making my own any time soon!
