Cathy was offered this book to review with no obligation; her opinions are her own.LEAN...it is one of my favorite fitness words as well as favorite goal. I never think about being thin, I think about, and try to work towards being muscular and lean. I was at the point where I needed some advice. Oh, I know a lot of it, but, somehow seeing it in black and white makes sense. I was asking myself, "How do I get to Lean?" Then, I received Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto.
Tom has worked in the fitness industry for over 25 years. He has trained thousands to become fit, muscular, lean and healthy. He is a body builder, but this book isn't necessarily about having a body builder's body. It is about reaching your goals. It is about reaching your goals in a safe, natural, and healthy way.
I love this book. Period. Why? Because it is written as a reference book, step-by-step guide book and inspirational book together. One of my favorite parts is the section on setting goals. It is pretty powerful to have goals, but knowing how to set and achieve goals is the real power. It isn't always easy, but in 5 steps, goals can be made and achieved. Good stuff!
Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle is full of great advice and knowledge. How do you snack? Should you use protein drinks? Can you skip your routine? These questions I had are all in the book, and best yet, are all answered.
Do you have a fitness fan in your house? I can't think of a better gift. Tom Venuto's book came out yesterday, December 10, 2013! You can buy it at many retailers and online.
