Bring Your Workouts Indoor!

I woke up today to 27 degrees outside with frost everywhere. Normally, I take my three kids for a nice morning walk, but it is getting harder and harder to do with these chilly temps and the upcoming snow we will soon have.

But, don't let the colder weather get you down! Just because you may not be able to do your usual outdoor workouts doesn't mean you should give up working out for the winter. Check out these new fitness DVD's as great ways to change up your fitness routine and keep your body in shape all winter long.
Dr. Levi The Art of Fitness is a great fitness DVD, with segments for cardio exercise, core work, and full body toning. You can customize your workout to what you want to do each day. The cardio segment is about 30 minutes. The core section is about 10 minutes, and the total body toning is around 30 minutes.

Dr. Levi Harrison, a fitness expert and physician/orthopedic surgeon, is really fun to work out with. I loved his easy-going personality. He has a way of making everyone feel comfortable at their own pace, while motivating you to do your best and enjoy every minute of the workout.

This DVD combines boxing, weights, jumps, jogging, kicks, arms and abs to burn calories, lose weight, increase stamina and have fun. It is recommended to have a mat and some weights to go with this workout, but you could also do it without.

I used to watch Michelle Dozois on FitTV, and so I loved seeing that she has now come out with a great fitness DVD - BodyFit 360. This is unlike any workout I have ever done. She uses a lot of unique and interesting body movements to work out your whole body. She draws from her background in dance, fitness, and gymnastics, and you can see pieces of that throughout the workout.

It is such a fun and interesting way to tone and tighten your body while getting your heart rate up and stretching your body out. The DVD is about an hour long, and you don't need any equipment to do it - not even shoes! That's right, they do this workout in bare feet, which I love!

You can purchase either or both of these great fitness DVD's online.

  1. Both of these exercise DVDs sound terrific and fun. I think if we have to be stuck indoors with the cold, this is a great way to exercise!
