Today let's get into a healthy eating routine!

- Eat balanced meals at regular intervals during the day, and don't skip breakfast! Remember: fruits and vegetables make wonderful snacks.
Eating is one area of your life where you do want to get into a good routine. It is okay to eat the same things from day to day too, as long as you get a good variety of different foods during the day. What are your favorite healthy eating routines?

I agree that breakfast is so important to start the day. My children will never skip it or rush out of the house without eating. I think it is important also to have a healthy snack between meals to keep up your energy level.

Agreed!
DeleteI enjoy breakfast. Unfortunately, I currently have medicine doses that much be staggered before I can eat in the morning. It is usually 1 1/2 to 2 hours after I get up before I can eat. This makes breakfast more of a brunch. I need the energy boost sooner than that. We like to have a good breakfast and an early dinner with snacks a couple times a day. This works especially well when we are traveling.
ReplyDeleteI did pretty well in getting rid of junk food, then had a relapse and bought more. They will soon be gone and I WILL have nothing but healthy food in the house.
It is a real bummer that medications need to get in the way of healthy habits. Hopefully, with other healthy habits you can get off that medication and get back to a healthy breakfast when you need it!

ReplyDeleteA habit I'm still trying to break is not eating when I'm very anxious, as I'll not feel hungry. Instead, I've been simply eating like normal, which is healthy, and just keep going. I like to eat snacks daily, as I don't eat any huge meal, so I sneak in many little treats whether fruit, nuts, a little chocolate, etc. I also like a teeny dessert, which often is organic dates!
