Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which is
why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best life
healthfully and naturally. I want to give you examples of how I am doing
it through weekly updates, and I am hoping some of you will be willing
to share your thoughts and ideas too.
So, here we go! I hope this helps and inspires all of you!
In my life this week...
besides being a very emotional week as I continue to think and pray for the families involved in the Sandy Hook school shooting, I was getting ready for Christmas with Christmas letters and cards, wrapping presents, buying and planning for Christmas meals. I also met with my boss at the fitness center, and I will be starting teaching classes in January!! Wahoo!
I am inspired by...
the writers of The Whole30 program, which I will be starting January 1st. They have written and designed this nutrition program that WILL change your life, and although it is going to be incredibly tough to follow, I am determined to because the authors have inspired me so much!
My favorite thing this week was...
having my husband home when I made supper for a couple nights this week, so it could be a little less hectic of a process. Sometimes it is the little things...
What's working/not working for me...
Working
- I guess my Christmas prep.
Not
working - patience with my children's whining, feeling overwhelmed and mentally drained by the time my husband comes home.
Questions/thoughts I have...
What would I do without my sisters, parents, and brothers? Their support, love and humor means the world to me!
Things I'm working on...
planning Christmas stuff, keeping my house sort of clean, trying to stay sane, making healthy nourishing meals, and continuing to work out every day!
I'm reading...
still reading Gods and Kings by Lynn Austin and The Whole30
I'm cooking...
chicken and pepper sausages, butternut squash, spaghetti squash with ground beef and pasta sauce, Quinoa mac and cheese, and I forget what else...
I'm grateful for...
beautiful moments with my kids, workouts to relieve stress, my amazing, loving husband who even rubbed my feet after a long day at work, 8 hours of sleep!!!!!
A photo, video, link, or quote to share...
I love this little picture at the end. Aside from being adorable, it is so true.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing very well indeed. I remember those days and wonder how I ever got anything done. We were a military family, so Daddy was around at odd hours (nice when it was during the day) or not at all. Not having family around to visit with and lend a hand was a down side. Family was the primary focus. I didn't work, but did a lot of volunteer work, but not until they were out of the toddler stage.
I admire you for being able to add working into the mix. It is not an easy thing to do. Luckily, it sounds like your job won't be one that demands many hours a day and is low in stress.
Keep on doing what you are doing. Sounds like it is working. Whining children - distract and ignore.
