Friday Fun!

Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which is why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best life healthfully and naturally. I want to give you examples of how I am doing it through weekly updates, and I am hoping some of you will be willing to share your thoughts and ideas too.

So, here we go! I hope this helps and inspires all of you!

In my life this week...
I started a new branch of my fitness business. I am now offering my services as an Accountability Fitness Coach. I think this is a really valuable service, because it is just what you need when life gets in the way, or you lose your motivation. Then, you have me checking in on you once a week and getting you new workouts you WANT to do to keep your body getting stronger and healthier! The best part is - I can do this for ANYONE, no matter where you or I live. So, that has been the most exciting thing in my week! (I will write a post about the details soon. If you are interested, please feel free to email me to get started!)

I am inspired by...
how when one window closes another door opens! I am also inspired by the fabulous fall colors - beautiful artwork by the master artist!

My favorite thing this week was...
getting my hair cut. Sounds weird, but I happen to LOVE my hairdresser. We had great conversation, I learned from her wisdom, and she made me look and feel beautiful! Plus, it was the last time I will have the pleasure to have her work on my hair, since we are moving.

What's working/not working for me...
Working - my creativity (when I have a moment to think)

Not working - I would like to have a little more packing done, but I just couldn't pass up playing with my kids outside on some of these beautiful fall days.

Questions/thoughts I have...
How am I possibly going to teach my last fitness class here? How am I going to say goodbye to everyone who has meant so much to me?

Things I'm working on...
how I talk to my children. I want to make a big effort not to yell at them, but to stay patient and loving in my communication with them.

I'm reading...
not much, although I want to be reading more. I have two books I need to review, plus I haven't finished my "for fun" book yet.

I'm cooking...
my favorite peanut butter, chocolate treat, (yes, I seriously make this every week) vegetable soup, roasted squash, homemade pizza, and skillet lasagna.

I'm grateful for...
God answering my prayers, my children's funny antics and words that crack me up, and the fact that my husband and I are in a really good place despite all the stress going on in our lives

A photo, video, link, or quote to share...

I just had to share this quote, because it is so, so, so true! Even I find myself sometimes using food to calm down. Thankfully, I also exercise almost every day, and I can speak from experience - it definitely fights depression effectively!

"Food is the most widely abused anti-anxiety drug in America, and exercise is the most potent and underutilized antidepressant."
