Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which is
why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best life
healthfully and naturally. I want to give you examples of how I am doing
it through weekly updates, and I am hoping some of you will be willing
to share your thoughts and ideas too.
So, here we go! I hope this helps and inspires all of you!
In my life this week...
Some big things were announced. We announced to our church and friends that my husband is resigning from being a pastor, and that we are moving to Minnesota in two weeks. This was one of the hardest decisions we have ever made in our lives. It was and is continuing to be a really emotional time for all of us. At the same time, I am excited for my husband to develop his love and amazing talents for writing as he writes his Christian fiction book and am excited to live near my family!
I am inspired by...
the way God keeps picking me up when I feel so low. I feel so blessed to be able to give all my worries and troubles to Him, and feel that burden lift.
My favorite thing this week was...
laughing with my fitness classes and feeling their love through all they say and do.
What's working/not working for me...
Working
- my body is recovering amazingly well from just having a baby two weeks ago. I started doing my fitness classes on Monday, and I feel just as strong as when I stopped doing them two weeks ago. In fact, when I work out, my body feels even better. Go endorphins!
Not
working - too much stress!! As I have mentioned, this is a super stressful time for our family, and so we are trying to take each day as it comes, but it is a huge challenge. Stress easily gets the best of us, and so we continue to work on it.
Questions/thoughts I have...
What will I do when we move to keep my own personal goals and dreams alive?
Things I'm working on...
being patient...with my kids and my husband. Emotions are running wild here, and it has been hard for everyone to remain calm and patient.
I'm reading...
An Amish fiction book and books to my kids. Not much else...
I'm cooking...
my favorite peanut butter, chocolate treat, cheesy quinoa, vegetable soup, stir fry, and zucchini chocolate cake. (See a theme here? Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate)
I'm grateful for...
my three healthy children, a husband who doesn't give up, my sister who always has a way of making me feel better, Christian music, and dear friends who lift me up.
A photo, video, link, or quote to share...
This has been running through my head constantly since I found it on Pinterest the other day.
"Sometimes Good Things fall apart so Better Things can fall together."
Congrats on the baby and getting back into the swing of things, I think it helps mentally to have time to yourself. Good luck with the move, living near family can be a great stress reliever, they can watch the kids for you sometimes!
