Friday Fun!

Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which is why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best life healthfully and naturally. I want to give you examples of how I am doing it through weekly updates, and I am hoping some of you will be willing to share your thoughts and ideas too.

So, here we go! I hope this helps and inspires all of you!

In my life this week...
Wow! Talk about patience...God is trying to help me develop more of it. I am now a week and a half overdue, and it has been hard to wake up every morning without seeing the face of my new baby. Every day I wonder if this will be the day, and it is trying my patience all the time. I am a planner, so this is definitely out of my comfort zone!

I am inspired by...
God's timing. For some reason, He wants me to wait and wait and wait. I don't get it, but I know that His plan is far better than mine, and I am inspired by his wisdom and blessings.

My favorite thing this week was...
going out with my friend, Cathy. Had a fabulous meal and a wonderful talk with her to catch up and take my mind off my never-ending pregnancy.

What's working/not working for me...
Working - keeping my house clean. Since I have stopped teaching classes and life has slowed down a bit for me, I have been able to keep up with my nesting urges and keep everything pretty clean.

Not working - my kids are acting up, and I honestly can't figure out why. I am not sure if they aren't getting enough sleep or if they can feel how impatient everyone is getting.

Questions/thoughts I have...
Did I make up this pregnancy? Is there really a baby in there?

Things I'm working on...
trying to relax, somehow help this baby want to come out, and enjoy my last hours of peaceful sleep

I'm reading...
Psalms in the Bible, a new book for review about a girl whose family was in the mafia

I'm cooking...
my favorite peanut butter, chocolate treats, chicken pasta salad, black bean quinoa bowl, and I can't remember what else...

I'm grateful for...
the last few days with only two kids, a healthy baby still thriving, good health and much more.

A photo, video, link, or quote to share...

Need to tell myself this every single day about a hundred times a day.

"Gratitude turns what we have into enough."

  1. It is so hard when the baby is "overdue" although they all come in their own time, not ours. I hope you don't have to wait much longer.

As for the others acting up, not unusual. They can feel the tension and anxiety. It is hard to counter that. Once the baby is here, things will change and there will be a new sort of chaos and behavior.

    Good luck.

    1. Definitely! Especially since I will be eternally pregnant.
