Eco Sprout Detergent Review and Giveaway

For those of you who cloth diaper, you know the smell that can come from diapers that haven't been stripped or have detergent build up on them. Yuck! I have tried lots of things to try and strip my diapers and keep them smelling fresh.  But, I haven't had a whole lot of success.

That is why I was overjoyed when I read Eco Sprout's story of a work-at-home dad who was having the same problem as I am keeping his diapers ammonia-free.

Thankfully, Eco Sprout has the same standards as I do when it comes to safe products for the whole family. They didn't just want to make a powerful detergent. They wanted a safe, biodegradable, 100% natural detergent.

When I received their detergent, I was just praying it worked. I soaked our diapers in hot water and 3 tablespoons of Eco Sprout unscented detergent all night long. Then, I washed them out with just hot water the next morning. After they were dry, the moment of truth arrived. Did they smell like ammonia? After putting the first one on my daughter for an hour or so, I was relieved to sniff away and smell nothing. Hooray! Finally, a safe detergent that works for my cloth diapers!

Now that they are stripped of all the ickies, I can just wash them normally with Eco Sprout, even with our other laundry. And for any washing questions, check out their helpful Washing 101 page.

Their detergent comes in several natural scents, but like I said earlier, I use the unscented. For the 24/48 load detergent bag, you can buy it online for only $7.95. You can also find Eco Sprout at retailers near you. Let your cloth diaper washing frustrations float away, because Eco Sprout really works!

Good news! For (1) lucky winner, we are giving away (1) 24/48 bag of Eco Sprout Detergent.
