Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which
is why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best
life healthfully and naturally. Friday Fun is my way of sharing a bit
of my life with you, my readers and friends, and I hope you will be
willing to share your thoughts and ideas with me too.
So, here we go!
In my life this week...
This week has flown by! I spent a bit of time getting ready for our annual New Year's Eve party, which was a blast! My youngest is getting molars in, which has made the week a little more insane than normal, since she is ultra whiny and clingy. But, it does give me a chance to snuggle with her even more, which is always precious.
Now that New Years is over, I am focusing a bit more on our trip to Puerto Rico!!! (happy dance!) My husband and I are going on vacation alone in about a week and a half. We have been looking forward to this since we planned it, and now that it is so close, I can hardly contain my excitement!
I am inspired by...
my husband, again. When does he not inspire me? :-) He finished his self-edited copy of his first book!!! Yahoo!!!! Now it is off to his editor, and he is over the moon excited about it, which makes me so happy.
My favorite thing this week was...
having the family all healthy again after that weird stomach flu bug that came through over Christmas. You always take for granted health until it is gone. True?
What's working/not working for me...
Working
- I have been working getting some CEC's (continuing education credits) for my personal training certification. While I love the learning, I don't love the nerve-wrecking tests! This week, I learned more about lower back pain and how to prevent and heal it. It was some serious physiology and gave my brain a run for its money.
Not
working - I have been trying to stop eating by 8 pm at night for a couple months, and this week it just hasn't been working very well. I am hungrier than ever! Either that, or I am doing more emotional eating than ever. Hmm.....
Questions/thoughts I have...
There is no value you can put on friendship/relationships. They are priceless, and for me, good friendships are necessary. I am so much a people person, and when relationships are rocky, I feel broken.
I'm reading...
Haven't had a whole lot of time to read but this is what I am supposed to be reading...Hands Free Mama by Rachel Macy Stafford, Encouragement for Today Devotional by Proverbs 31 Team, Creative Correction by Lisa Whelchel, lots of children's books!
I'm cooking...
Spaghetti squash and shrimp, meatloaf and sweet potato fries, lots of popcorn with coconut oil and sea salt, creamy sweet potato and pumpkin soup
I'm grateful for...
healthy children, meaningful conversations, my husband's kind eyes, fun games, hilarious TV shows, friends and family, hard-working clients, my chiropractor, a vacation to look forward to, heat that works, fuzzy pajamas, snuggle time with my kids, and so much more!
