Sugar In Your Pasta Sauce?

When you start searching ingredients lists for sugar, you will be amazed at what all has sugar in it! I started being really diligent about sugar when I was on the Whole30 last year. I went one whole month without eating any sugar, (among other things like grains, dairy, etc) which was a major accomplishment for me! It was amazing, but sometimes challenging making meals for my family that were completely sugar-free.

One thing that we eat quite a bit is pasta sauce. We particularly love it on spaghetti squash. But when I was doing the Whole30, I had a really hard time finding sugar-free pasta sauce. Can you believe that? Why does there need to be sugar in it? Turns out, there doesn't.

Some of my favorite pasta sauces, from Good Boy Organics, are completely sugar-free, and they are crazy good. In fact, these Yellow Barn sauces are not only Non-GMO certified, Gluten Free, and completely organic, they exceed normal organic standards by also being certified biodynamic.
And the fresh taste of these sauces is to die for! We especially love the Roasted Eggplant. But, you have got to try the other varieties too: Arrabiata, Puttanesca, and Tomato Basil. They also have tomato concentrate and purees to make your own sauces. Simply delicious!

Find these at a store near you, like Whole Foods or your local Co-op. Don't let sugar hide in your favorite foods. Find those that taste just as good without and cut back on all that sugar!
