So, here we go!
In my life this week...
It was a busy, busy week, so I am thankful that the weekend will be here tomorrow.
The biggest thing that happened was that my youngest daughter, Brynn, turned 1! It was so fun to relive those moments from last year, when I had a beautiful home birth with her. Although she was 3 weeks overdue, she was worth the wait. I could never have imagined how full my heart would feel from having her in my life. She is such a joy and blessing!
Otherwise, I have been working a lot, and my husband has been working a lot. I had a nice visit from my sister and her two kids to help celebrate Brynn's birthday. That was a great time!
I am inspired by...
God's goodness - how am I so blessed when I deserve nothing? Amazing!!! I guess that is why the song is called Amazing Grace. :-)
My favorite thing this week was...
spending time with my daughter on her birthday, right after she woke up in the morning - showering her with kisses, taking lots of birthday pictures, reliving the beautiful moments of a year ago, and celebrating one year of her life!
What's working/not working for me...
Working - the balancing act - juggling work, my family, my marriage, and relaxation/fun time. I think I have been doing an okay job at this. It gets difficult sometimes, but I love and cherish every part of my life, so it is fun to do it all!
Not working - I guess doing all of the above has been taking a little toll on my health. This week, I did get a few stomachaches and a headache. I think I just need to make sure I get some down time each day.
Questions/thoughts I have...
What is your favorite slow cooker recipe? I have been having to use mine a lot, because I get home from work right at supper time, and I need to have dinner ready. So, share your favorite recipes with me!
I'm reading...
Candle in the Darkness by Lynn Austen, Encouragement for Today Devotional by Proverbs 31 Team, Choose More Lose More for Life by Chris Powell for a client, lots of children's books!
I'm cooking...
My first Delicata Honeyboat Squash from our garden, Crockpot Chicken Tacos, eggs, eggs, and more eggs, and I honestly can't remember any further
I'm grateful for...
all my beautiful children, my loving husband, family who love and support us, a great job helping people get healthy, beautiful Fall weather days, a garden to provide so much healthy produce, and chocolate!!

Here is a video of my daughter on her birthday -
Adorable Video! Happy Birthday to Brynn! That first year goes by so quickly! In my slow cooker I love to cook a vegetarian chili, with different beans, tomatoes and all different vegetables, (A delicious quick meal). Also I am thankful for Chocolate too!

Thanks, Maryann! I need to make crockpot chili. I made it in my big soup kettle the other day, but the crockpot would be even easier!
DeleteI love that you cite God's grace as one of the things that keeps you going. I couldn't agree more!
ReplyDeleteGod's grace is certainly a blessing - one I can't even fully comprehend! Thanks for the encouragement Ashley!
