Traverse Bay Farms Award-Winning Salsa

Who doesn't love salsa? Honestly...

I recently tried the Fruit and Gourmet Salsas from Traverse Bay Farms, and they have set the bar a little higher for me as far as salsa is concerned. These are award-winning salsas that are a mouth-watering combination of traditional tomato-based salsa and fresh tangy fruit, corn or black beans. Their salsas are made in small batches with fresh fruits and vegetables, and it shows!

Each of their fruit salsas are "medium spicy", and they offer six distinct gourmet fruit flavors and two traditional chunky salsa flavors. I tried out their Peach Salsa and Red Raspberry Salsa, and they were both terrific!

I used the Peach salsa in my crock pot to make an awesome salsa chicken. I just threw in 1 1/2 pounds of chicken breasts, the whole jar of my Peach salsa, a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar and turned it on medium for about 4 hours. It was perfect!

If you aren't a fan of spicy foods, don't worry. I thought this might be a bit spicy for me, since it is labeled medium and I usually go for mild, but it wasn't. In fact, neither of my children complained about any spiciness at all. They just gobbled it up!

With the delicious chunks of real fruit and the fresh taste, you will love the homemade gourmet salsa taste from Traverse Bay Farms!

  2. This Salsa seems wonderful. My family does enjoy different kinds of Salsa, even for just a snack with crackers. This brand would be great to try.
