Take Charge of Eating Tip #17

Let's start the week off with a tip that can really change your life and health!

#17 - Your body is a sanctuary. Treat it with reverence and love. As much as possible, eat the best quality foods available. Avoid processed, refined foods, and consider eating organic fruits, vegetables, and free-range animals that have not been subjected to pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics.

Changing the quality of products that I put in and on my body has really changed my life, and I know it can change yours too! It does make a difference, especially in this day and age when the food you eat and the products you use may have many dangerous chemicals in them that will be absorbed by your body.

  1. Truthfully I wouldn't have believed it ... but changing your diet really does make a difference. Since we've changed ours for more healthy options, we feel better ... more energy and jut an overall feeling of health. I've also noticed that my allergies, which I've had my whole life, have been much, much better. In fact, except for a very occasional flareup, they have all but disappeared. Thanks for the reminder!

  2. We are working on it. It is too bad that less processed, healthy foods are more expensive than the others. We do grow our own vegetables and shop for what we don't grow at the Farmer's Market. There are many vegetable stands in our area, but the fields where they grow everything is also here. They use lots of chemicals on their fields. When my daughter has enough eggs, we get them from her. When I get rid of my peacocks, I will be using the pen for a chicken coop. That will give me a constant supply plus extra to sell through my other daughter, who now sells her sister's eggs. (She lives in a very "green" and belongs to a co-op, selling eggs to other co-op members.)
