Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which is
why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best life
healthfully and naturally. I want to give you examples of how I am doing
it through weekly updates, and I am hoping some of you will be willing
to share your thoughts and ideas too.
So, here we go! I hope this helps and inspires all of you!
In my life this week...
I took the kids to story time at the library this week, which was fun for them. Afterwards, they have gym time, where the kids can run off some energy. I also was able to go to basketball games where two of my sisters were playing. So proud of them! And we got in what is probably our last stroller ride outside until Spring. Snow is on the way in the forecast! Plus, last weekend, my husband and I went to The Story Tour concert. It was one of THE most amazing experiences of my life. If you aren't familiar with it, it is the different characters and stories from the Bible put to gorgeous music and lyrics sung by contemporary Christian artists. I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone! I think I cried through half the concert, because it was just soooo good!
I am inspired by...
my sister, who is a great mom and friend. She has been going through a lot lately, and she still is keeping her sanity. She and her hubby have a weekly game night, and I just think that is so cool! She still makes time for her relationship with her hubby after a long day at home with her 2 kids.
My favorite thing this week was...
going to The Story Tour, no doubt.
What's working/not working for me...
Working
- cooking. I have re-developed my love of my slow cooker. I will talking more about that when I review a new slow cooker cookbook I just got. Plus, my little baby girl is finally getting a napping schedule down. Hooray!!! Naps for mommy!
Not
working -I am having a little identity crisis this week, or at least today. I love being a stay at home mom 24/7, but I really miss feeling needed by my fitness clients and the impact I was having on so many people's lives as a fitness instructor/trainer. Plus, I get lonely as an adult, when I don't have adult contact on a daily basis. I am hired at a new fitness center, but I have been waiting weeks for my background check to go through...
Questions/thoughts I have...
Once again, I am wondering how single moms do it. I admire them all!
Things I'm working on...
trying to get Christmas-ready, getting ready for my daughter, Kailana's, second birthday coming up next week.
I'm reading...
not much this week, other than my personal training exam book and things on Pinterest.(if that counts)
I'm cooking...
Spinach Mashed Potatoes in the crockpot, Cheesy Vegetable Soup in crockpot, Meatloaf, Scrambled Eggs and Avocado sandwiches
I'm grateful for...
my three healthy, happy (for the most part) children. They are my sunshine and my cloudy days. But, they hold my heart in their hands. I am thankful to be their mother. I am also thankful I have a husband who works really hard and goes the distance it takes to support our family.

Here are sweet and spicy children!
Overall, you had a pretty good week. We went to a Mannheim Steamroller Christmas concert Tuesday. We usher at the local venue. This time we were on the floor in the front. When the concert started, there were two empty seats in the front row, so we got them. A nice perk for volunteering. Next up, 5 Sesame Street Live shows the end of the month. They are always fun.
ReplyDeleteI haven't started decorating yet. There is so much stuff piled up from trips and projects. I have been spending time going through it all and trying to get rid of it. Need to do some serious filing.
Your three remind me of our three, only the two oldest were girls with a boy 9 years later. Closer together is better. Trips with 2 teenage girls and a hyperactive 4 year old between them in the backseat were no fun.
Hope you hear soon from the fitness center.
I bet Mannheim Steamrollers was fantastic! How wonderful that you got to sit in such great seats!
DeleteThanks for your support, Pat!
Hopefully your background check goes through soon! I fully understand the desire for adult contact when you're a SAHM, as amazing as it can be.
ReplyDeleteI would agree that being a mom is quite a job! It sounds as thought you are doing a wonderful job of it though. I also took my children when they were young to a lot of nice library programs. And I think crock pot cooking is wonderful! I love the photo, so cute!
