Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which is
why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best life
healthfully and naturally. I want to give you examples of how I am doing
it through weekly updates, and I am hoping some of you will be willing
to share your thoughts and ideas too.
So, here we go! I hope this helps and inspires all of you!
In my life this week...
I am learning to be a real stay-at-home mom with no hubby around anymore. It has been a big adjustment, because I am used to going out and teaching a fitness class or two each day, having my husband around most days, and only having two kids. Now, I have three kids, no adult interaction and children who aren't used to this schedule either. It hasn't helped that my husband is working 12-13 hour days, I am not fully unpacked from the move, and I severely bruised my tailbone rollerskating (laugh all you want) so that has been EXTREMELY painful.
But on the upside, I had an interview with a local fitness center, and I got the job! The problem is - how will I work there a couple hours a week with no one to take care of my kids? I am still trying to solve that problem.
I am inspired by...
single moms. Some days I feel almost like a single mom, but at least I have my husband to vent to and snuggle with at night.
My favorite thing this week was...
my job interview and the prospect of meeting new clients and helping more people get fit and healthy!
What's working/not working for me...
Working
- we are starting to develop a routine here at home, and that has helped the kids to behave a little better. I think things are starting to settle down a bit.
Not
working - I miss my husband!!
Questions/thoughts I have...
What else can I do to make these long days more full of fun and memories?
Things I'm working on...
getting everything set up for my new job, trying to figure out how that will work into our schedule, and trying to enjoy each moment with my children.
I'm reading...
fitness mags and children's books
I'm cooking...
Vegetable Soup, Shrimp Salad, Baked Squash and Couscous, Pizza
I'm grateful for...
my local Christian radio station, which is on practically 24 hours a day. I am also grateful for Trader Joe's, which has the organic food I need cheaper than my grocery store.
