Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which is
why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best life
healthfully and naturally. I want to give you examples of how I am doing
it through weekly updates, and I am hoping some of you will be willing
to share your thoughts and ideas too.
So, here we go! I hope this helps and inspires all of you!
In my life this week...
we moved in to our new home in Minnesota - lots of boxes, lots of fun exploring the area, and lots of sleepless night with our baby and two other kids. It seems to me that everyone has been a little crabbier and whinier this week, which has added to the chaos. My husband has been going to a few interviews, and it seems he has his new job now nailed down. He starts next Monday as a plumber's apprentice. Unfortunately, that means a big dip in the income we are making, but I know God will provide.
I am inspired by...
the freshness of a new day. All the stress and moods from the day before have faded, there are so many possibilities, and everyone is rested and clear-headed.
My favorite thing this week was...
spending Sunday with my family - going to church together, having Sunday dinner, watching the Packer game, attending my sister's championship volleyball game, and having my family over for a bit.
What's working/not working for me...
Working
- the house is getting organized....slowly, and we are starting to settle into our new life here. We also found a new vehicle that fits our family and fits into our budget - a silver 2006 Chrysler Pacifica
Not
working - Oh, my! My children are so whiny, short-tempered, and moody. We have been having a lot of long talks and lots of prayers, so hopefully things will start changing in that area. I know that they haven't been getting as much attention, because of all the busyness of unpacking and trying to get settled. So, hopefully next week will be better.
Questions/thoughts I have...
How can I stretch our budget? Will my husband's new job work out well? Will I find extra work I can do here?
Things I'm working on...
besides the obvious, I am working on trying to make extra income by getting a job in the evenings tutoring and/or doing personal training/fitness classes. I am also working on getting back in pre-baby shape, being patient with my children, and enjoying our new life here.
I'm reading...
From an Orphan to a Queen - Esther by Titi Horsfall (for review)
I'm cooking...
Cheesy Squash Casserole, Quinoa, Roasted Potatoes
I'm grateful for...
our beautiful new home, a job for my husband, new neighbors and friends, and my family's support and love
A photo, video, link, or quote to share...
This quote has helped me stay positive this week. I love it!! So true!!
"It's not the load that breaks you down. It is the way you carry it." Lena Horne
It is nice to know you are settling in fine.
