Fit2Fat2Fit Book Review

I have often heard from my fitness clients, "Well, I bet you have never been fat a day in your life, so you don't know how it feels..." While I haven't ever been overweight or obese, I have had to lose baby weight two times and will have to lose the weight again after this baby is born. So, no, I don't exactly know how it feels to be overweight or obese and try to lose 50,75, or 100 pounds, but I have gotten a little taste of it.
That is why the book, Fit2Fat2Fit by trainer, Drew Manning, caught my eye. This book is about the unexpected lessons Drew learned from gaining and losing 75 pounds on purpose to relate to his own clients. When I first heard about this book, I thought, "Whoa, that is one brave guy!" Who wants to harm their body the way gaining 75 lbs. would? Drew took that risk, gained the 75 lbs, and then lost it again. Now, he shares his journey with us in this great book! Check out his beginning, middle, and end pictures below.

Fit2Fat2Fit is divided into two parts: part one where he goes from fit to fat and part two where he goes from fat to fit. Plus, he also includes recipes, meal plans, exercises, and workouts he personally used and recommends.

This book is full of great insights he learned, tips, advice, and important information you will want and need to know as you go through your weight loss journey. I love what he says on page 54, "Being healthy is a choice. Getting healthy is an entirely different enterprise that requires a mind shift, a strategy, and a lot of support." Agreed! You will love the way he speaks from experience on both sides of the spectrum, as fit healthy trainer and client who wants to lose weight.

Drew also has a line of supplements that he uses and mentions in the book, including the Fit2Fat2Fit Women's Whey Protein, Multi2Fit multivitamin/multimineral, and Enzyme2Fit for total digestive health. You can find all of these supplements on his website.

Also, find his book online on Amazon or Barnes and Noble. This is one you won't want to miss!

  1. He was very brave for doing what he did. As someone whose weight has crept up little by little over the years, I can't imagine doing it on purpose, especially that much. It is so difficult to loose just 5 or 10 pounds, 75 is overwhelming. Sounds like a good reference for those of us who need to loosesome weight and keep it off.

  2. Wow! This takes some determination. He obviously has a very strong will and a great understanding of how the body works. With the ever increasing population of overweight and obese people this book should be flying off the shelves, unfortunately it probably won't. Most people I believe would like a quick fix cure all pill that takes no effort. What they don't realize is that in order to stay "healthy" is takes a combination of a good diet and moderate exercise. Nice review!

  3. I think that everyone is a little fatter at some point in their life.
