Friday Fun!

Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which is why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best life healthfully and naturally. I want to give you examples of how I am doing it through weekly updates, and I am hoping some of you will be willing to share your thoughts and ideas too.

So, here we go! I hope this helps and inspires all of you!

In my life this week...
Stress! Stress! Stress! On top of all the stress and crazy busyness, I think I am starting to feel a bit more emotional than usual, probably due to the fact I only have 4 more weeks left of this pregnancy! I don't think it has quite sunk in yet to me that any day I could have a third child. Honestly, I am not even sure I still 100% have accepted that I am even pregnant. I know, I am sounding crazier by the second...

I am inspired by...
Christian music. I don't know what I would do without my Christian radio stations and downloaded music. When I am down, their beautiful melodies and lyrics of peace and joy bring me right up!

My favorite thing this week was...
Hard one...probably when my little 1 year old daughter came up to me when I was sitting down and tried to rub my feet. It was the sweetest thing in the world!

What's working/not working for me...
Working - well, I am really enjoying making meals from our fresh garden produce. I have summer squash coming out of my ears. Our cucumbers are fabulously crunchy and sweet! And I am just starting to get red tomatoes! Yay!

Not working - I have had little to no down time this week to de-stress and relax. That has been hard on me and on my relationship with my hubby. All the stress has caused both of our patience levels to drop significantly.

Questions/thoughts I have...
What lessons is God trying to teach me this week?

Things I'm working on...
Trying to rest before I go into labor and add another person to our family, having a closer, more peaceful relationship with my husband, getting my body the massive amounts of nutrition it needs for my baby and for my labor.

I'm reading...
A new book, "Love’s Tangled Web" by Karen Franklin. I will be reviewing it for you soon! It is a good one! I am also reading Revelation in the Bible, which is quite the tricky book to understand.

I'm cooking...
Zucchini bread, Summer Squash tofu scramble, Baked Ziti with fresh garden veggies, and who knows what is for dinner tonight?

I'm grateful for...
too many things to count, and that is what I keep trying to focus on! I am truly blessed!

A photo, video, link, or quote to share...

I love this quote and think it tells miles of truth!

  1. Those last few weeks of a pregnancy are so trying. You tend to get so big you think you will pop, you are uncomfortable, tired and at times snappy.

This week has been a zoo here but in a different way. I am in charge of our church Fall Festival this year. It had been 8 years since our last one when we did it last year. None of us were happy with the results. This year I tried to get ahead of the game. Didn't work. People don't return phone calls or emails. They say they will do something and don't. I am now where I wanted to be the beginning of June. There are only 7 weeks left and I am beginning to worry. People are finally starting to help, but it just feels too late. I was going to spend this week catching up. Unfortunately, we had a flash flood in this area Sunday night. We were not in the area affected, but I am a Red Cross Disaster Volunteer so have been busy. I have tried to alternate days between the two, but my house and husband are paying the price. Tomorrow we will be out again delivering meals and cleaning supplies. I may be complaining, but I am so thankful it wasn't our house damaged or destroyed.
