Friday Fun!

Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which is why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best life healthfully and naturally. I want to give you examples of how I am doing it through weekly updates, and I am hoping some of you will be willing to share your thoughts and ideas too.

So, here we go! I hope this helps and inspires all of you!

In my life this week...
Well, there has been quite a lot going on. I can say this for sure - my plans are not always God's plans. And I am a big planner, so I had a few lessons to learn this week. Plus, I got attacked by some kind of bug and have bug bites all over the back of my thighs, so you can imagine how it feels to sit. These bug bites have been driving me absolutely CRAZY!!!

I am inspired by...
the beautiful sunsets. They are absolute works of art!

My favorite thing this week was...
hearing from an old fitness client and dear friend of mine who I haven't seen in a long time. She is signing up for my next session of Boot Camp, and it just made my week. I get really close to my fitness clients, and it means the world to me when I get to see them work hard for their health!

What's working/not working for me...
Working -my appetite is certainly working. I made these delicious chocolate, peanut butter bars with coconut flakes, hemp seeds and chia seeds. They were fantabulous, and I couldn't stop eating them....

Not working - my patience. I have had none, partly due to some major ups and downs during the week, my evil bug bites, and my gigantic pregnant belly.

Questions/thoughts I have...
Why do I weigh a couple pounds more now at 33 weeks than I did when I gave birth to my last baby?

Things I'm working on...

Getting my snacking in check, trying to play more with my kids, and having more patience....

I'm reading...
Happy Birth Stories and a romance novel. I can't help but love a good romance novel....

I'm cooking...
Peanut Butter, Chocolate bars, Spinach and Sweet Potato Quesadillas, Eggs, Ground Beef Casserole

I'm grateful for...
the way God turns rough times into blessings

A photo, video, link, or quote to share...

  1. i think you are doing great. I know that women can grow bigger, and more quickly after the first. I'm sure your Dr. can verify that it's okay.

your peanut butter bars sound delicious, the hubby and I would love them! Are they a snack, or meal option?
Do you have the recipe posted somewhere?

    1. Thanks for the encouragement, Gina.

I will post the recipe for those absolutely delish bars soon, I promise. They are more of a snack, but I guess they could also be a breakfast option.

  2. Patience can be a scarce commodity when Your abdomen is always in the way, you can seem to eat more than you thought possible and you can do all you used to. Even with all that, I loved being pregnant. I usually felt so good. With each pregnancy I seemed to gain more weight and didn't loose it. Our son was the exception. I actually weighed the same after delivery as I did when I got pregnant. It was a drier pregnancy than our 2 girls'. I had so much water, I think they could swim laps in there. With our first, I lost 25 pounds at delivery, and she only weighed 7 lbs 7 oz.

Hope this coming week goes well.
