ZESPRI Kiwifruit Fun!

Do you love kiwifruit? How about your kids? ZESPRI offers delicious kiwifruit that is naturally and sustainably grown. If you haven't tried ZESPRI kiwifruit, I highly recommend them.

Did you know how healthy Kiwifruit is?

-One of the only low-fat sources of vitamin E

-High in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants

-Readily included in a diabetic diet (kiwifruit has a low glycemic index)

-More vitamin C than an orange (240% the recommended daily intake!)

-More potassium than a banana

-Less than 50 calories in each whole fruit

-Low in sodium

Not to mention, Kiwifruit is so delicious. I love the sweet juicy taste! My only problem with eating kiwi was how hard it was to peel. But, ZESPRI opened my eyes to a new way of eating kiwifruit. They suggest cutting it in half and scooping out the insides with a spoon. I don't know why I hadn't thought of that myself. Instead, I would take the time to peel the skin off and slice the fruit. Now, I can eat kiwifruit much easier and with much less mess!

I love this! Right now, ZESPRI Kiwifruit has partnered with six children’s charities from each region of the United States to drive ZESPRI’s childhood obesity campaign, Kiwifruit for Kids. The campaign centers on a uniquely designed Facebook application that allows people around the U.S. to contribute to the cause.

Here are the details: Kiwifruit for Kids allows Facebook users to earn online points for the region of their choice. Points are earned by choosing kiwifruit characters, playing games, tweeting about the campaign, having friends from users’ social networks join the competition, and more. The region with the most points by October 21st wins $10K for their corresponding charity. To the second place region, ZESPRI donates $5k. The remaining non-profits receive $1500 from ZESPRI for participating.

Please visit to play Kiwifruit for Kids and help raise money. It is up and running right now, but it will end at midnight on October 21st, 2011, so head on over today! What an easy way to make a difference!
