Rudi's Gluten-Free Bread Review and Giveaway

While no one in our house is allergic to gluten, we are fans of Rudi's organic breads, so when the opportunity to try out their gluten free breads came up, I thought that sounded like something I would want to share with all of you.

Here is a little information about how Rudi's started making gluten-free bread. "For years, people have been asking us to bake gluten-free breads that are as delicious and wholesome as our organic breads. In fact, it was the one request we seemed to be getting over any other. So, two years ago, we started on our gluten-free journey."

"After trying nearly every gluten-free bread on the market, and talking to over a hundred gluten-free consumers, we quickly discovered it was nearly impossible to find gluten-free bread that tasted good straight from the package and that was easy to make sandwiches with. As bakers who enjoy creating high quality, delicious breads, we immediately understood the desire of our new friends with celiac disease or gluten intolerances to enjoy the simple pleasure of a piece of toast with breakfast or a sandwich for lunch. It became our mission to make gluten-free bread with the taste, look and feel of regular bread."

"And after a lot of trial and error – we tested more than 100 formulas – we finally landed on a recipe that we believe tastes, looks and feels like regular bread. Plus, sticking to our heritage, all of our gluten-free breads are made with only the highest quality, all-natural ingredients."

They now sell three different varieties of this bread - original, multigrain, and cinnamon raisin. I tried out all three, and I thought they were quite good.

The big difference between the original and multigrain is that the multigrain has organic sunflower seeds, organic millet and organic flaxseeds in it. Those are really healthy additions to a bread, so I liked the multigrain a bit better. I like the taste of whole grains and the added health benefits.

The cinnamon raisin was my favorite in the taste category. This bread is really great all by itself with nothing spread on it. I liked to eat it just plain. I would love it even more if it was completely organic!

Overall, I think that the breads were definitely a different taste than regular breads with gluten, but I think that their unique taste was quite good.  I appreciated that Rudi's stuck to their high standards, and I would love to see them switch out just a few more of the ingredients for organic ingredients. I would recommend these to a bread lover who struggles with celiac disease or gluten intolerance.

You can buy all these breads online or find a store near you that carries them. You can even download a $1 off coupon right from their site.

Also, (2) lucky readers are going to each receive (2) loaves of Rudi's bread for FREE with our giveaway! Thanks Rudi's!

I've seen this in ingredient lists before and never knew what it was.
