I love to post little notes all over my house to remind myself of certain things. This is the latest little list I am going to post to remind myself to keep living healthy through 2011!
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants. 4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5. Make time to pray.
6. Play more games
7. Read more books than you did in 2010.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day, appreciating all that you have!
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minute walk daily. And while you walk, smile.

So glad that I found you through the green treehouse blog; now following so that I can gain more knowledge on how to live more healthfully and naturally. I am a biggest loser fan and part of the 'club' and have a super new health focus on my blog this year. Would so love and be honored if you would share any post on my Fresh Fridays blog hop, that you have on how we can live healthier in any clean, fresh, and/or pure way. Your recipes would be most welcome by my readers! Hope you like my site and follow back. I'll follow ya no matter what, cuz I luv what I'm reading! Keep up the great work! ReplyDeleteI too need to drink more water and exercise. Seems with my busy schedule I don't have time to do either!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great list...I will definitely be adding these to my resolutions!
ReplyDeletei totally need to steal this idea (& probably most of the stuff of your original list) because i should make 2011 a more healthier year!
ReplyDeleteNumber 8 really resonates with me for two reasons.
ReplyDeleteOne being that I spend a good deal of time in silence as it is (by choice). It also stands out to me because you don't that listed on many lists, and I think it's refreshing.
Thanks for the reminders!
What a great list. Thank you. I absolutely love the one about how to eat the three meals of the day. I have never heard of that before. I have to write that down to tell hubby. He will really like that. I also have to learn to abide by it. I am bad about not eating breakfast at all while I preach to my family that it is the most important meal of the day. Bad mommy.

Daily walks are so important, for easing everything from back pain to anxiety and stress. I love your idea of smiling while you walk. I know that simply smiling releases all sorts of goodness from your brain. I really like the idea of living with Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy, too. The last one I don't tend to have any problems with, but I could definitely use a lot of practice with the first two! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove your list! I copied it for my own reference. I need to take heed of #9 in particular right now as my current giveaway addiction has me cutting out much-needed rest. :-/
