Northern Mom Etsy Shop Review and Giveaway

I have a fabulous mother and cloth diaper Etsy shop owner that I want to introduce you to today: Samantha from NorthernMom's Etsy Shop. She is a stay at home mom, wife and mother to three little girls and a newborn baby boy. She got into cloth diapering because she was looking for another way to live more frugally. Moms like Samantha really inspire me with their ambition and drive to make a goal happen! Love that!!

Speaking of frugal, did you know that disposables can cost between $2500-$3000 for the diapering lifetime of your child. Cloth diapers, on the other hand, for that same time can be around $300. What a savings, right? And...if you are able to use the same cloth diapers for more than 1 child, the savings are even greater!!

So, back to NorthernMom Etsy shop. From the beginning, working with Samantha was a pleasure. I received an amazingly soft one size fitted bamboo fleece diaper. I have a funny little story. When I showed my 2 year old son this diaper, he felt how soft it was and wanted to use it as his pillow! :-)

The bamboo fleece makes this a truly super soft, super thick diaper, and when you put a diaper cover over it, there are no leaks! Every time I put it on my child's bottom, I feel like I am giving him a luxurious little gift for his bum.

Samantha so helpfully always includes a little card with her washing and stripping suggestions to make it easy for anyone to use this diaper. I love hearing different suggestions for stripping diapers and keeping them as clean as possible. She has some great tips!

One other thing that I loved about NorthernMom is that all the bamboo fabric used in her items are Oeko-Tex Certified. Oeko-Tex is an international testing and certification system for textiles, limiting the use of certain chemicals and heavy metals. It is said that this is even better than having an organic certification. Two thumbs way up!! I love having a sense of peace that I am keeping as many chemicals out of my children's bodies as possible.
