A couple of years ago, I started weaning gluten out of my life. I never was big on eating sandwiches; I pretty much thought bread was wasteful calories. I would rather just eat the middle part of the sandwich on a salad. But, life gets busy, and then I went back to work, and lunches needed to be portable. Thank goodness I found Rudi's!
Rudi's Gluten-Free Bakery started making bread over 35 years ago. They don't just make any bread, they make all-natural, gluten free bread. Their breads contain wholesome and organic ingredients, and what they don't contain is any GMOs. As you can imagine, a 35 year journey of bread making leads to a lot of discoveries along the way. Recently, Rudi's reworked their formula to create a bread that is softer and fluffier-2 textures somewhat missing from the gluten free diet.
What did I think? I tried both the multi-grain and raisin breads straight from the bag, and on sandwiches. I found that the raisin bread had the same texture that I would expect from a raisin bread - a little dense but still soft, and the flavor was great! I made some sandwiches out of the multi-grain bread. Boy, I haven't had a sandwich in a really long time! I now know what I had been missing. The bread wasn't overly soft; it held the spicy mustard just fine. The texture was as dense as I expected from a multi-grain bread. What I didn't expect was how much I enjoyed the light sweetness.
I love a company who works hard on their products. It is evident to me that Rudi's does just this. If you have been missing something from your sandwich, something softer, something better, you may just want to check out Rudi's Gluten-Free bread. You can find Rudi's at many grocery stores.

My old boss's daughter needs to avoid gluten in her diet. I know for years, she had a hard time finding food that was tasty as well as gluten-free. It is nice to see more products available and more publicity for those which have been around all along.
