Living healthy natural lives is not always the easiest thing, which is why I started my blog - to inspire and help others live their best life healthfully and naturally. I want to give you examples of how I am doing it through weekly updates, and I am hoping some of you will be willing to share your thoughts and ideas too.
So, here we go! I hope this helps and inspires all of you!
In my life this week...
Some serious stress - family issues, some disappointments in myself, and confusion about how to prioritize my time. But other than that, it was a great week!
I am inspired by...
my husband. He is so patient and keeps on giving.
My favorite thing this week was...
I am sitting here thinking and thinking...and I can't pick one favorite moment. It was pretty awesome to listen to my 3 year old son reading to me yesterday from Dick and Jane. Maybe that is at the top of my list!
What's working/not working for me..
Working - cooking! I am loving the smells, tastes and family time when cooking. Plus, I love the warmth of the kitchen while squash is baking or chili is cooking.
Not working - I am supposed to be scheduling in 15 minute stress-relief breaks in my go, go, go day, but it hasn't happened even once yet.
Questions/thoughts I have...
What is my relationship to food? How did it develop? Deep....I know.
Things I'm working on right now...
I am working on making up my fitness classes for tomorrow morning. I am working on getting Christmas presents for my family. I am trying to keep my house clean and play with my children more. I don't want to have any regrets that I didn't spend as much time with my children as possible.
I'm reading...
Women, Food and God by Geneen Roth - It is so interesting...I am weeding through some of her religious comments, since I don't agree with them all. But she has completely nailed the food and women part.
I'm cooking...
Vegetarian Chili, Squash, Salmon Salad, hopefully brownies soon, as a treat for my hubby.
I'm grateful for...
being able to express my passion for fitness and health through my jobs. I am proud of the businesses that I have built from the ground up. I am really grateful for all that have supported me and recommended me to their loved ones! That is the ultimate honor!
A photo, video, link, or quote to share...
Well, I wanted to upload a picture of my daughter, who is 11 months old today on 11/11/11, but my computer is being mean. So, here is a quote that is inspiring me...
"Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful." Joshua J. Marine
Have a great weekend!
Cara
