I am always talking about how important protein is for maintaining a healthy body. Many people automatically think meat is the best source of protein. While meat does have plenty of protein, I personally love using alternative sources such as: beans, lentils and tofu. The problem is, it has not always been easy to come up with new recipes for these ingredients - until I received this great book, 250 Best Beans, Lentils, and Tofu Recipes.
 
250 Best Beans, Lentils & Tofu Recipes is a book full of unique recipes you will love! These recipes are not only healthy, but full of variety and tasty ingredients everyone in your family will be asking for over and over again.
Besides 250 great recipes, there are 32 color photos that look fabulous! One recipe I can't wait to try is the Teriyaki Rice Noodles with Veggies and Beans, which is also pictured on the cover above. One of my favorite recipes in this book is the Refried Vegetarian Nachos. I love using this recipe as a fun appetizer for parties or family dinners. This recipe is easy to make, absolutely delicious and quite healthy!

One thing to note with this book is that many of the recipes do include meat in the ingredients, so there are plenty of recipes if you like pork, chicken, and beef. This cookbook is a great fit for a vegan, vegetarian or meat-eating family!
