Turbocharged Review and Giveaway

Interested in losing body fat? Ready for all your current beliefs on losing weight to be challenged? Then, I have the book for you!

Turbocharged is a groundbreaking 8-Step program that defies common weight-loss theories.  It successfully delivers body-defining rapid fat loss, accelerates metabolism, and improves health and odds of longevity without any gimmicks. The authors, Tom and Dian Griesel, have a ton of knowledge about health between the two of them, and I thank them for sharing that with us.

After reading this book from cover to cover, I have so many mixed feelings! I have been thinking about it all the time since I started reading. Where do I start?

Let me start by explaining a bit more about the book. If you want to lose body fat and drop sizes, this book promises a 100% success rate! They guarantee you to lose body fat in 10 days. In the book, they explain how conventional diet and exercise advice is making you fat, and give you 8 steps that you HAVE to do together in order to be successful. You cannot skip a single step. For instance, you will not be allowed to eat any grains - no bread, no pasta, no whole grains period. It doesn't matter if it is organic or home-made. No grains.

I was a bit blown away by the no-grains rule, but I was even more blown away by the fact that they discourage working out. As a fitness instructor, I was not happy to read that. I love working out! It gives me a boost in endorphins, makes me feel like I can conquer the world, and gives me energy for my whole day. BUT, after lots of thought on this topic, I do understand why they do not want you working out in their program. Their program has to work together, and they want your body to be in a relaxed, un-stressed state.  Instead, they promote staying active throughout your whole day, which I wholeheartedy agree with, and doing a few one-minute resistance exercises.

Those are just a few of the steps you must take to be Turbocharged. Beyond that, there are a few more steps that are quite restrictive and a few that are easily doable. My overall thoughts on this book are, if you want to lose body fat in a serious way and are hugely self-motivated then try it out! I don't doubt that you will lose body fat quite quickly. But, I don't think it is manageable for the majority of people for the rest of your life.

My philosophy on a healthy lifestyle is moderation. I want people to develop healthy habits that they can use the rest of their lives. I don't think it is realistic to expect people to never eat grains the rest of their life. So, I don't advocate that. I don't think it is easy to ask people to drink massive amounts of water  to fill their stomachs for the rest of their lives, which in turn causes them to constantly have to go to the bathroom. I DO think that Turbocharged has great pointers about body fat loss, and that they can be toned down a bit for use everyday. I have started taking some of their advice in a less drastic way, and I know it is going to help me stay healthy.

If you want to lose body fat really fast, I recommend this book to you! I would rather have you do this than to do some other drastic diet that only helps you lose weight and not body fat. I think this program is only doable for a very short time, like a couple days or couple weeks. I would recommend it to kickstart your body fat loss and then go back to living a healthy lifestyle.

You can buy the book on Amazon or.....

We are giving away the Turbocharged book, t-shirt and tape measure to (3) lucky readers!! (Promise me that you will let us know if you decide to become Turbocharged. I want to hear about your journey on this program.)

  21. My reaction to this book so far is of curiosity as to where one would be getting their fiber and good carbs. Like you, I'd be interested in finding ways to tailor it to my existing lifestyle. (Though I might give it 100% for 10 days to be fair.)
